Honus looked up. "It is dangerous to camp a both. We must travel as far as we can, though. We can push to the top...right?"

Colette glanced at Blossom, whose head was hanging low. Colette gave the beautiful dapple-gray Arabian mare a pat, and smiled gently. Blossom looked up, and snorted enthusiastically. Colette looked back at the group. "I think we can manage."

Suddenly, there was a shifting of leather and straps as Colette hopped off of Blossom. Colette, to their surprise, strapped on a saddle bag herself, and continued up the mountain. She winked at the group, and smiled.

Sierra, feeling the kindness in Colette's action did the same. Smiling, she hopped off of Feather too. Fastening the saddle-bag securely to her shoulders, she walked on, as the rest followed Colette's lead.

Pulling herself up the steep slopes, she clambered up the rocky slopes and stumbled up the thin, treacherous cliffs.

Sierra hauled herself up onto the summit. Looking around with satisfaction, she smiled. I'm done. Thank goodness--that took forever. Admiring her surroundings, she took in the view, drinking in the lush, landscape. She glanced at the snow-covered sloped, studded with the dark green spikes of the evergreen trees that flourished in the cold climate. Sierra shivered, and realized her little bubble of heat was fading. Readjusting the temperature around her and her friends, she looked around.

Suddenly, she noticed that there was someone gone. There's supposed to be ten moving bodies in all to protect--horses included.

Sierra's heart pounded. Colette's gone. Colette! She's the weakest physically--could it be possible that she was kidnapped? Fell? But Blossom is so close to her? How could... She stopped, and put down the saddle-bags. "Guys," she shrieked, "Colette's gone!"

Sierra sprinted down the slope, adrenaline rushing. She skidded in-between rocks recklessly, sliding down the rocky slope. She tumbled with nothing to break her fall, but she brushed away the bruises and the scrapes.

She had Colette to save.

Sierra skidded to a stop as Honus suddenly started off in a different direction. Trusting her comrade, she followed him faithfully. Suddenly, Honus skidded to a stop. Sierra crashed into him, but immediately regained her balance. She stood up, opening her mouth to speak; she was curious why Honus had brought the group there.

Honus smothered the sound with a strong arm, cutting off Sierra's speech. He lifted a finger to his lips, and cast a solemn look at Sierra. What is out there? Why would Honus--

Her thoughts were silenced as a great beast rose up from behind a ledge. It roared, then there was nothing more.

Sorry! That was the wrong choice!

Sierra gnashed her teeth, shaking. She started to bolt down the mountain, springing into action. Suddenly, she felt an overwhelming sensation of sleepiness. She cursed in her head. Dylan! That...

Her knees buckled, and she knelt limply on the rocks. Dylan approached from behind, and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Sierra, Colette isn't stupid. She wouldn't go wander off like this. She had motivation. Plus, if she's in trouble, we'll have to wait. She has her own ways of defending herself."

Sierra nodded, but she still felt uneasy. Not sure if she should follow Dylan's lead, she stood up carefully.

Sierra acquiesced, and silently sat at the group's side. She still trembled, but she felt more at ease. Dylan's right. Plus, he can probably sense Colette's emotions.

Suddenly, a crunch of gravel was heard. Sierra perked up; looking intently at what appeared before them. Colette's head came bobbing, and she later revealed an exuberantly smiling face. Blossom snorted, and cantered to Colette's side. Sierra smiled too, relieved. Phew! Here she is...safe. Dylan was right for a change!

Suddenly, Colette held something out before her. It was gently cupped in her hands as if it were a priceless artifact. Sierra raised an eyebrow.
