Is there a purpose to the multiple tails? Or a story behind them? Just wondering. .-.

Also, I do like these, though... I will admit, my first thought when I saw them was the White and Black Keep Rats... D: (Sorry, but it's true! ><;) I like the colors, though I do wish they were different just to make them distinct. But idk. In a way, they feel more interesting like this, too.

They're based off the Rat King phenomenon but I think (since it hasn't been specified why it was decided there would be only one rat per sprite) if they tried to mimic the actual Rat King concept they based it off of, it would be too cluttered so the multiple tails were the only other option

Ahhha, that too I still think though a realistic representation of the rat king phenomenon would be a little -too- creepy for doni's tho so I'm cool either way with these guys. -the rats would have had to be so small and indistinct to be able to fit within limits
-I'm not sure I could have drawn all the knotted tails and still made it make sense

The way I think about them is that in a Viyasant pack, each level of hierarchy within the pack has a certain number of tails to show its rank, with the two alphas each having a full set of nine, and the lowest, regular rats having only one. As rats move up and down in rank, they will grow and lose their tails. I imagine them having the power to control regular, non magical rats - more tails = more control.
