....YOU LOCKED IT?
.......fffffffffffffffffffff
I had so much fun with that thread.

If it helps, just think of them as kitsune rats?
Also thought I'd mention: When I requested ideas, I got a lot of suggestions from the rest of the artists (and Morg), and I've decided to do all of them. These are the first from that list to be released. Let's see what'll be next! (don't worry, there aren't any more über-creepy ones.)
The hatchlings are kind of cute, and I like rats (really, I do), but all of those tails just FREAK ME THE FUDGE OUT. Beautiful art and such, but I just... 'shudder'

I like these, now that I'm not on my phone and I can get a better look at them.
The tails don't bother me, almost all of them (individually) are in realistic positions. The one that goes straight up being the only exception; it just doesn't look quite right to me. I don't recall how much (to what extent) rats' tails move, I know they're fairly thick, so I don't see a writhing mass of tails.
There is a bit of a disconnected feeling between the tails and the bodies, like the bodies were just placed in front of the tails.
But at the same time, I appreciate the distinction between tails and bodies; I still think they could have been put together better, but the difference is great. The matte look of the tails compared to the soft, clean, shinny fur of the bodies, it's fantastic.
