Actually, someone accidentally used an axolotl from one of my lineages for a quest, and it did disappear from the lineage. I would assume this would be true for any quest that actually purges the creatures from the system. (as opposed to the one that requires a hellhound, which doesn't take your hellhound.)

I suck at coming up with lineage names T.T The only ones I have right now are the of MidnightClan lineage (black cats) and the Doesnt Care lineage (baku). I named the latter because the baku in that lineage are sick and tired of people complaining to them in their dreams.

Oh, that is a beautiful lineage - excellent family name, too. I just may have to request a foal from that lineage in the future after I set up my own Minicorn lineage. :-)

As for my own lineages, hmm. I've been considering what to do for the past couple of days and I think I'm going to try to set up two Pegasus lineages. One lineage that's purebred for a single color (dark, maybe?), and one purebred Pinto lineage (using two 1st gen Pintos as progenitors). I haven't come up with the right name, but I have a while yet; I only have one egg of normal and dark Pegasus right now, and I understand it's a one-in-three shot of getting a Pinto baby out of normal and dark Pegasus parents, anyway.

I've created an Of Rose Guardians lineage family/5539
I still have to write some kind of story.
For some reason it made sense to me considering you have to give 2 hatchies as part of the Quest. I had planned to use a male that was left behind due to the glitch. The glitch was fixed....and my male uni disappeared OMG. Luckily I was able to grab 2 dark eggs, and both hatched male on the same day I completed the Quest. I'm a tad OCD I guess, but I really wanted the male to be born on that date.

I made the crest myself...First time drawing anything like a horse. I actaully wanted to put 'of the Golden Prairie' but it was one character too long.

I think I'll make a story tomorrow~ I love writing!
