Sapphire hatchling


This larva's back is covered in a deep blue shell, reminiscent of the egg it hatched from. This shell is extremely hard and protects the hatchling from harm as it crawls around looking for food. It seems to be insatiable and you have to provide it with quite a lot of nourishment for a creature of that size, but it is also growing very quickly. Most of the time, you wear gloves when handling the little creature, for you have quickly realized that letting it crawl over bare skin is making you drowsy and lethargic.

I'm betting beetle, going by the hatchling descriptor.
A moth would be awesome though. Especially one of the really fluffy ones

Ew ew ew ew ew I just can't get away from bugs, can I!?!?!?! First the earwig crawling around the floor that made me bawl in fear and panic, then the bee in my container of raspberries I almost ate today, now new bug release on MS ;____; I'm going to go crawl in a corner and sob

I'll come back later to see if these guys are adorable or not. If they are, I'll feel a lot better to have them around in this little bugdemic I'm having
