You watch as your egg cracks and a small hatchling emerges. It looks like a miniature dragon, and is the color of the water it loves to hide in, glimmering blue and gold. Swimming around, snatching insects out of the air, this little serpentine beast soon tires itself out and you have to search through the waters to find it, curled up tightly in sleep on the sandy bottom. You pick it up with care, cradling it against your chest. It complains at being moved, little teeth snarling unhappily. Making your way to The Keep, you tuck it into its soft bed, arranging its bright rocks and gems around it.

Sly and difficult to spot, wyverns love to sneak about and see all that's occurring in The Keep. It's not an uncommon sight to see a wyvern get in trouble for being too curious; leviathans and koi are always chasing these reptiles away from their shiny eggs. Attracted to bright, glimmering objects, a magi can easily make a wyvern gleeful over a shiny rock. Wyverns will spend hours rearranging their bright gems around their nests. Students are constantly shooing these little creatures away from jewelry. The wyvern's larger cousin, the dragons, occasionally gift an odd scale to wyverns. Beware, though; it you step too close to one of their nests, you're liable to get snapped at. These creatures are just as protective as their older kin. Dragons and wyverns get along extremely well, often playing games far off the ground. Sometimes they even share the same caves, and a small nest can be seen next to a large hoard.

Wyverns are the smaller cousins of dragons, reaching no higher than a magi's chest. They differ in color as well, their scales a shimmering green, blue, and red. Living high in the mountains, these small reptilians have evolved to be perfectly camouflaged. Their colors allow them to avoid stronger creatures, who might attempt to prey on them. Unable to breathe flame or carry a rider, wyverns take joy in carrying messages and flying high to map out the terrain. They can be seen around The Keep, sunning themselves on rocks, as many of the creatures enjoy doing. Their homes, like dragons, are cave-like. Wyverns burrow deep in the ground, where they store trinkets they have found and rare gems. These little creatures are fiercely protective of their small hoards of gold and jewels. Wyverns shed their skin every few years, and their metallic scales make beautiful jewelry and extremely durable clothing.

What is it? Where is it?

From what I can tell so far:
- I don't see any new Quests
- I don't see anything new in Shops - all guild shops checked & confirmed (go team!)
- I haven't seen anything new in the Stream (but this doesn't mean much - I am still learning the MANY additions since my hiatus)
- I haven't even tried going the Hybrid route yet

Maybe the Koi Pond, but the last few releases (aside from Solar and Lunar Koi together) have been 3 or 4 years apart, and the last creature was back in December, so it's possible, but I'm not leaning that way confidently.

Yet, for some reason, I LOVE that I don't know where to go for this one!

I clicked through all the map locations, checked all the normal shops + the dark shop and there doesn't seem to be anything new on the crafting page. Tried throw a few gold at the koi pond too and only got a few globefish (didn't try a huge amount though since i was egglocked). Also checked to see if bone venom or dusky potions worked on anything new since i was grasping at straws lol

Unless its something to do with breeding like a hybrid or new item or something i am stumped since i don't like to breed my creatures so i haven't tested anything like that.

EDIT: checked both my grass forest and explore taggelisk dailies too and only got normal eggs

The hardest part about hybrids is where even to begin.

I'd also thought of the koi pond, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to go on that journey if I don't have to. The wording on the social media posts, though simple (Where is it?), definitely pushes me towards thinking it's gonna be a hunt. I also don't have any frame of reference for if mysteriously obtained creatures automatically exclude certain types in the way creature releases are announced (Stream releases typically say that up front, for example).

Neither Rijolt or Damien has been active on the site for years, so this could be generally taken to indicate a recolor, a creature based on an older existing creature, or a creature that's been a really long time waiting to be released, and those we don't really have.

From this i am going to assume its a breed for cookie deal, since we have 3 creatures that can currently make cookies (koi, puvia and kitsune). Question is now which creatures to breed..... since its an entirely new creature i doubt it would be anything like breeding winged cats to get the swirled items etc.. going to look through older creatures made by both artists and see what i can come up with

gonna throw that into a spoiler too just incase people don't want to see replies to hints and want to take a stab in the dark based on the hints i could be totally wrong

Aww not a fan of bred hybrids so i guess i will be giving this one a miss, was hoping it was an item variant. I was getting hung up checking through streamborns that i didn't even think to check the black market I bet it will still look awesome with the blue colour though
