Which creature has the highest chance of spawning an albino?

Post by Lucina »

As there are several creatures which have al albino form, I am started to be curious is the odds for an albino are the same in the species.

For this research I will be looking at my own creatures and of a few friends that have our creatures in permanent couples to make it easier for me. While the arkenian minirrell isn’t officially an albino, I’ve included it because it is very white and the Me'chuan rewana has been added for the same reason. Plus we don't have to many creatures with albino in their name.

Data collection

Direwolf x manticore, 10 pairs and 57 eggs of which 37 direcore eggs
21 normal direcores (37%)
16 albino direcores (28%)
20 Direwolf or manticore eggs (35%)

Wolpertinger, 10 pairs with 57 eggs
47 normal wolpertinger (82%)
10 albino wolpertinger (18%)

Minirrell, Silvan x Razan 5 pairs with 8 eggs
2 Razan or silvan minirrell eggs (25%)
6 arkenian minirrell eggs (75%)

Nandi bear, 10 pairs with 7 eggs
5 brown bears eggs (71%)
2 albino bears eggs (29%)

Me'chuan bengolo, 10 pairs with 79 eggs
66 Me'chuan bengolo eggs ( 84%)
13 Me'chuan rewana eggs (16%)

Eshmeri brown and red, 5 pairs with 20 eggs
13 eshmeri eggs (65%)
7 albino eggs (35%)

Heartthrob eshmeri, 10 pairs with 35 eggs
30 heartthrob eggs (86%)
5 albino eshmeri (14%)

Direwolf, 5 brown pairs with 23 eggs
21 brown eggs (91%)
2 albino eggs (9%)

Results
When you want to build an albino army, your best bet are the albino eshmeri from the store who have an 35% albino rate.

If you just want cute white animals, your best bet are the arkenian minirrell who have a 75% rate of white animals.

And while not applicable to this research, I gathered it and don’t want to waste it. May it help someone else out there.

Arkenian goose, 13 pairs and 44 eggs.
These are a bit tricky as normal hatchlings can either be normal adults or become roasted geese.
18 hatchlings, these can grow up as normal or roasted.
So to avoid skewing the data in the wrong way, I will only be counting the creatures that are either fully grown or clearly golden. Leaving me with 26 eggs.
Which hopefully puts the data as straight as possible. Which gives us:
11 normal geese adults (42%)
11 golden geese (42%)
4 roasted adults (16%)
We try to do good.
Then reality steps in.
