What are Koi Shells?

I am trying to do the “Foul Concoction” quest where I must bring 5 Koi Shells. Where do I get those?

From what I remember of that quest you need Koi eggs which you can get from the stream or breed.
They have to be unfrozen, unnamed and cannot be from a family-lineage
