Since we JUST had all 3 previous releases be dogs (basically everything except Feb monthly donis was dogs last month), i'm really hoping it's not another dog.

The Zalons look much more like Whippets, not Pitties.
Still, I do think we've had month of the dog, so we are due for a non-doggo.
My account can't keep up with all the new critters :p

Sighthound is a classification of dog, not a breed :p
That being said, the Whippet is a Sighthound. (As is the greyhound, and a number of others.)

I would say the Zalons are inspired by several breeds.

They have the head shape of a terrier or hound, and they have a curled tail (more prominent in the sideart) like that of a Shiba Inu or Akita.

I knew- I hadn't meant to sound argumentative towards you; I was supporting your view of them being Whippets perhaps by stating that they were definitely some kind of Sighthound (which I know is not a breed). I was more asserting that those were certainly not a bully breed.
