Re: Pets
Hermes will be neutered as soon as he is old enough (we just hit the twelve week mark). I went to a lot of trouble to find a breeder who would either allow this or --- better yet --- insist on it. I figured if Hermese is as good as I think he will be at his job, then I can go back to the same breeder.

Re: Crafting and Hobbies
Have any of you guys made steampunk stuff? I have, on occasion, worked with Steampunk themed jewelry but my style deals more with the Victorian influences. I like making chokers with red, black, and white gem drops; I also use a lot of copper, brass, and industrial components. Check out the Industr...

Re: The How Was Your Day Thread V4
Well, I know what one of our discourteous neighbors got for Christmas. They've been shooting automatics (illegal here but how to prove it?) And semi-automatics since midnight. My nerves are a mess.

Re: Pets
My neighbour I've known for a long time has a exotic pet sigh it's a chinchilla. They named him chase him and his wild instincts make him a real butt every time we try to clean his cage or feed him he makes weird noises at us and bites us. He's very weird anyone know why they do that, only reason I...

Re: Wildlife
Brad: Gainesville has one of the largest bat houses in the US (it supports a colony of approximately 70,000, most of which are Mexican freetails, though there are other types). I love them and we frequently go there during the warm months to watch them emerge at dusk. I was amazed to find out that t...

Re: Tattoos and Piercings
Mothball: put simply, I am fat (about 500 pounds' worth). Part of it is disease (metabolic failure and I take several medications for other chronic conditions which have weight gain as a side effect and I am partially paralyzed) and part of it is heritage (many relatives and ancestors were well over...

Re: Trigger Warning: Sexual harassment/assault
Mulan: sexual harassment is defined by law differently in different countries and here in the US even the state rules may differ. Generally, sexual harassment includes any unwanted sexually oriented conduct. In Florida, where I live, that includes everything from lewd jokes to inappropriate touching...

Re: Wildlife
As Hawke said, the spinies looks vary depending on exact species. All of them have a broad, crab like shell with hard proturbances around which their legs and head are situated. The types we have here in my part of Florida look like completely different species. One, called locally a crab weaver, is...

It means "They shine in darkness"..I have been doing ancestry.com and one of the major nationalities that runs through my veins is Irish. My great great grandma was a Moran so the saying I found out was the family motto. Eventually I will be getting the coat of arms tattooed. Ever thought...
