Oh, good idea! ^w^
Okay, good thing in my life? My mother does not need the retina surgery she thought she needed, I put more time into good friends, I'm doing art again, and I get to play Spyro Reignited for Christmas.

Re: Good Things discussion!
I discovered the scp-wiki and the youtubers discribing scp tales.
No one in my family died, a few people I know got sick, but everybody recovered.
Started supporting people on kickstarter and awaiting a ton of new games. (still need to find room to store them, but that will be next years problem.)
Did not spend tons of money on aliexpress for items that look fun, but will never end up using it. It went to kickstarter instead.... small victory?
My marimo's are still alive. Hardy little moss balls.
Got a second job so my income is higher than last year. And it forces me to move around more so I am not behind the computer 24/7.
Even though it is cold in my area, there is no snow. Normally I would hate that fact, but with the lower traffic due to....It, large sections of road are getting much needed refurbishing. So I have to walk through several construction pits every day. While annoying, it is safe. But a layer of snow or frost would make it plain dangerous.
Finished 2 games 100%, aka got every achievement.
Actually managed to gift a big group of people creatures from their wishlists instead of trowing only stream events at everybody.
And most importantly. I live in a city suburbs with some patches of wild-ish parks. We found and where visited every other day during the summer by a hedgehog. (put wet safe catfood for him on those days outside in our yard to help out.) and last month I spotted a fox out my window. Never thought a fox would be living in the area.

Re: Good Things discussion!
I finally committed to seeing a therapist again. Here's hoping it sticks!
I haven't lost anyone to covid.
I am still employed at my fulltime job. I know lots of other people who cannot say the same.
Now I just want to start making more art. It's been a tough thing for me to do, since I've been pretty anxious and depressed. I'm slowly working up to it.

Good things in 2020 for me:
I finally got my Master's degree!
I lost my horrible job which opened the door for me to find my new one which is 100x better and lets me work from home
I got married!
My husband bought a nice car instead of the old beater he had before
We got a new kitten last month!
And neither of us got Covid!

Re: Good Things discussion!
Things seem to be going well at my job and I appear to be befriending some of my coworkers, somehow.
I'm starting a distant book club with a friend who moved away that I haven't seen nor talked with in a while. It will be nice to reconnect, especially this year.
My antidepressants appear to be starting to wotk, it feels nice.
It feels like I'm coming out of my shell a little bit, which makes me simultaneously really happy and mildly terrified for some reason.

Re: Good Things discussion!
This is such an uplifting thread - I love it!
My good news for 2020 is:
I was offered both a new job and a promotion in July of this year. I am pretty sure the promotion was offered because my boss was worried about losing me - which worked because I stayed on my team instead of leaving. It was really cool to feel wanted and also to have the extra responsibility/cash.
On Monday my father, who is an Emergency Physician, gets his first COVID vaccine! I will sleep easier once he has finished the whole course, and continue to be immensely proud of his hard work battling this pandemic.
On the COVID front, I've been able to reconnect with friends I almost never saw anymore before the pandemic using things like FB messenger, Zoom, and Discord. I may be one of the few people who is finding more connection in technology than I had living my life out and about in the world. This includes my grandma, who I used to see once every few years and now regularly video chat with (we did today, in fact!).
My sister and her husband bought their very first house, which is really neat!
I'm not sure escaping into websites like this is necessarily the most healthy way I could have coped with everything in the world, but I am so glad to have found this community (and a nice distraction of critters to snag to boot) Folks here have been remarkably open and kind and it blows me away regularly. Y'all are fantastic.
