I have been trying to stick to the 'stay at home' rule for the last few months, but now, when there are so many protests in my country (over women's rights, but also over other things - government in Poland went crazy recently), I am considering participating in the protest at my university and then on the streets. I offered my help with making banners and such, but I feel that I should be there with others - covid or not, I suppose I do not even care at this point.

I cannot believe I am writing this. I was never an activist of any sort. I was never politically engaged, but... it seems that at some point, even people like me start to care.

Found out my cat probably has cancer. I already lost my other one a few years ago. Don't know what I'll do without my baby.

I applaud you wanting to stand up for what you believe in - and hope you can find a way to do it safely. In my area it seemed like the protests (of police brutality) were not big spreader events because they were outdoors and people adhered to public health guidance. I hope the same is true in your neck of the woods

Are you in Sri Lanka (based on your location info)? The cases are bad enough there still to be on lock down? Vietnam is basically back to normal, just no entry/exit flights available.

Yes, this wave is pretty bad. Several places are on lockdown/ under curfew. It looks as if it's going to get a lot worse
