Roan shook his head. "I-I don't remember, but they more than just beat me. I had just gotten out of a really bad situation when Hikaru found me," he said softly as he looked up into Rafe's eyes. "It's not like we can change the past, Rafe."

Rafe’s attitude slowly changed back to normal as he heard the rest of what Roan said since he was trying to calm himself down. “I know but I wish the world we lived in was better so that things like that won’t happen. I’m glad that you and Kai turned out to be okay from that,” he said in reply to Roan’s last statement as he hugged him close.

"It's part of the reason I'm trying to stay away from being intimate with you," Roan said as he pressed his head into Rafe's chest, a stray tear falling from his eye. "If something happened to Kai... I don't know what I would have done honestly. He was and still is my everything."

"Oh," Rafe said in reply to what Roan said in his first statement before hearing everything else he said. He wiped the stray tear that was falling down his (Roan) cheek before wrapping his arm around his shoulder. "I have an idea of what I would do but it'd not be a very good thing to be honest. Both he and you are my everything and always will be."

Roan nodded, leaning against Rafe and wanting to be held and comforted. "I was in a low point at my life. All I had was Kai. I was being abused and living on the streets, and you had left me..."

Rafe held Roan close when he felt the former lean against him before hearing everything he said. “I understand and how many times do I have to apologize for doing that? I’m back with you now and I’m not ever going to leave again. I was trying to drink myself to death because of it which wasn’t working due to me being a werewolf and having a high metabolism for it (like Captain America; he can’t get drunk, not really the same thing but somewhat similar) and Alex stopped me before I could get that far. I promise that whatever other disagreements we have to work with you more on clearing them up,” he said while having his fingers stroke the skin of Roan’s arm in order to try to comfort him some.

Roan just nodded very slowly before looking up at Rafe. "I've never told you what happened to me on the streets before now besides me being homeless for some time. I never told you how these men beat me and used me," he said with a frown. "So don't ask how many times you have to apologize. I've already forgiven you, but the past still haunts me. If I didn't forgive you, I wouldn't let you stay in my apartment."

Rafe looked back into Roan’s eyes when he looked up at him and listened to everything he said. “I understand and I won’t ask that anymore. Very true. I’d still be staying with Alex if that was the case and I wouldn't be able to see Kai as often which would suck because I like being with him. You as well of course but also him,” he said in reply before leaning down enough to plant a very light kiss on Roan’s lips before pulling back again soon afterward.

"I wish things could have been better, Rafe, but it is how it is," Roan said with a soft sigh after their small kiss, snuggling up against Rafe's chest. "I also can't believe we're not on the run anymore like we were when we were younger. They should have been able to find us by now."

“Okay and that’s true,” Rafe said in reply before holding him close when Roan snuggled against him after their small kiss. He then listened to everything he said afterward. “Hm maybe they gave up for now. Don’t forget that they had kidnapped Kai and I went and rescued him. They’re possibly trying to regroup after I had gone to where they were to get him back and I attacked a few of them,” he said in reply before putting a gentle kiss against the side of his head.
