ooc| Oh my goodness... Lol, I was waiting for you to post. I'm such a dope. xD

A slight smile lifted the corners of the boy's mouth as he saw and heard her quiet response. Rubbing his hand across the back of his neck, he said, "Then I look forward to cooking for you." Realizing he rubbed the back of his neck a little often and was doing it again, he quickly stopped and instead shoved his hand into his pocket to keep himself from doing that same stupid move yet again. How many times he had done it, he wasn't sure, but if she hadn't noticed it before, she probably would soon. Hey, it was a slightly nervous habit he had picked up. He had never really had such long conversations with anyone else, much less with a friend who was also a girl. Why it was so awkward, he wasn't sure, but he knew he wasn't all that good at it, and decided it might be
weird to explain if she asked. Long story short, Aaron was now making a conscious effort to stop rubbing his neck.

Instead, he cleared his throat slightly and paid attention just in time to hear her say something. "Hm?" He looked around, but apparently hadn't been quick enough. There were a few branches moving in the nearby bush, so it must have gone there, but before he had time to ask about it or really give much thought to it, Lilia was asking a question. Something about the way her eyes were sparkling with interest made him a little more cheerful. Why? Again, he wasn't sure. Nodding, Aaron pointed a little ways ahead and said, "Yeah. There's a small stream not too far of the path where we are now, and up ahead is a decent-sized pool with a waterfall. Come on, I'll show you."

With Kida leading the way, he walked forward, pausing every now and then to let his friend catch up. The walk was a bit of an uphill one, but it wasn't bad, and it was also kind of relaxing. Each time he paused for Lilia, Kida would pause and take a sniff break to see what had been by recently, before continuing when Aaron started walking again. The walk to this spot was only really about 3 minutes or so, not too bad. Finally, he came to a wall of bushes that were thick and about 2 feet taller than him. Pausing and turning back, he said to her, "It's just through here." Aaron reached out one of his long arms into the bush, pushing aside the branches. It was clear he had visited here before. Kida walked right through, and he continued holding it for Lilia to go.
(I'm thinking this is what the place will kind of look like, unless you have something else in mind)

··· ···

He doesn't remember? Keira couldn't help but let out a tiny, very short laugh when Ciel said that. It was no surprise, but she always found it rather amusing when he did that. In a way, it was... cute? Okay, maybe that's not quite the way to describe it, but it was the only word she could come up with for it. A brilliant genius who can memorize all the different formulas for their experiments can't remember whose turn it is for dinner. "Yup. Your house," she said, turning back to read the test results and trying not to smile too much.

Keira's eyebrow lifted slightly at his question, and just to be a bit of a pest, she said, "Oh, they're horrible. You're gonna be dead by this Saturday for sure." Truthfully, they were all normal and he was perfectly healthy, which was good since it meant he would be around for a good long while, long enough for her to keep teasing him and whatnot.

Putting the results into a private file on the computer that no one but she would be able to see and then made sure to keep it off the history before closing out the windows and logging off the computer. Not only was she good at science, but she was also pretty good in computer tech and knew a few, ah, back doors in the company system where she could hide some stuff. During all of this, she listened to Ciel's response to her question, a smile still on her face. Once she finished closing out the computer and making sure everything was good, she turned around to face him and said, "All right then. I guess I won't be bringing you to meet Max anytime soon." Without offering much more of an explanation than that, she headed for the doors to go back up to her office.

((And I was waiting for yours...XD
Anyway, late reply again since i was busy with finding topic for my final year project.. Day 2 of semester and yet...so busy..))

If nobody thought Lilia was watching Aaron, they would definitely be wrong. Once a while she would glance over her shoulder to look, noticing that he had a habit of rubbing the back of his neck. She wasn't sure if it was a habit or something that only came out when he was awkward. Either way, she found that the gesture was a little...cute? Especially when he was trying to put in some effort to stop doing that. But she didn't ask him.. Not to think that she was always watching him.

"That's great." She smiled when Aaron answered her question, following after him. Despite being slow, she could easily catch up with him..or maybe it was because Aaron would stop once a while to check up on her. The walk was fairly easy since they were still walking on the path. Lilia perked up when she heard the soft roar of the cascading water, the closer they got to the place. Quickened her steps, she then stopped beside of Aaron, looking up at the tall bushes looming over them. It was even taller than Aaron and the thick foliage prevented her from looking what laid beyond it.

She watched as Aaron parted the greenery, just enough of them to pass through it. "Thank you." She said, walking through to the other side. Lilia stared in awe at the beauty of the place. Stream of water cascaded into the pool beneath of it. Birds chirped to one and another among the surrounding foliage. It was rather peaceful and calm. And most important, it was beautiful despite being small and secluded.
"Wow.."She gasped, walking gingerly toward the edge of the water and crouched. Lilia reached out and dipped into clear water, shivered slightly when the cold water made contact with her skin. "Do you come here often?" She asked with interest, turning to look at Aaron.

He scoffed. "Sorry for not remembering... Mind is full of work." He retorted but deep inside, he was a little pleased when Keira laughed despite trying to hide it. He scratched his head softly, giving some time for him to think."Fine..I'll cook tonight." Ciel then chuckled at her statement. "As if i gonna believe that" He said, rolling his eyes. For one thing, she was acting too serious and calm for something that was dire especially something that was involving him.

Ciel watched closely as Keira computed the result into the pc and did her high tech clicking thingy. Even though he was good at computer as well but Keira excelled exceptionally well with it. He was more of a practical kind of guy.
"Who the hell is Max?" He demanded an answer, surprised expression was plastered all over his place. Ciel pouted when Keira left without any further explanation. Great! He probably have to interrogate her over dinner.

After he had watch her left, he shrugged and straightened himself up. No point pouting right now. He then exited the lab to return to his office. Well, he had to finish his work before he could think something up for dinner.

Once Lilia had passed, Aaron entered and let go of the branches. When he turned around, he was met with the very pleasant scene of the waterfall and the pond it flowed into. The one thing that was new about this scene was Lilia, and he couldn't help but watch her and how she reacted to it. Something about seeing her reaction made him smile, and he walked forward a few steps so he could stand behind her and then continue to look at the beautiful place. He had been here maybe a dozen times now and it never got old. Now, it was even better, because Lilia was here. He wasn't sure how to describe it, but this place almost seemed to light up even more with her in it, which warmed his heart.

Tilting his head slightly, a movement caught his eye and he turned, watching as she went over and brushed her fingers through the clear water at the edge of the pool. Hearing her question, Aaron walked over and crouched down next to her. "Yeah, I do, though never before with anyone else. It's always either just been me or me and Kida." He glanced over to where Kida was laying, on the usual sunny rock she liked laying on whenever they came here. Turning his gaze back on to Lilia, Aaron couldn't help but let a small smile appear as he then asked. "So, what do you think?" He put his one knee on the ground to keep himself from falling over as he waited for her answer, lightly running his fingers through the water himself and enjoying the feel of the cool liquid on his skin. It was rather refreshing, actually.

ooc| Sorry for the short post. I've got writer's block... What would you say if we did a tiny timeskip for Ciel and Keira? Part of me kind of feels like they're already a little further back in the day than Aaron and Lilia, so maybe we could skip to a little later that afternoon when they're getting out of work or something.

((No worries at all. I understand Writer's Block perfectly, otherwise I wouldn't be taking some time in posting sometimes
Hmm..I guess we can time skip Lilia & Aaron's scene as well..something to more of an action.. XD But yea, we can have a time skip for Ciel & Keira))

Lilia let the water trickled from her palm, dripping into the pool of water. The water looked clean and fresh, untainted by human hands. It was even clean enough to take a sip from. Glancing over her shoulder, she continued to watch Aaron as he reminisced the time he had come over. Looked like he will still enjoy his time here even if he had been here before. Her eyes followed his every movement, even after he crouched next to her. After looking at what he told her, she almost couldn't hide the joyous smile expressed on her face. So, she was the first he had brought over here to share the scenic view. Somehow, she felt happy even though it was nothing major.

"Hmm..." She gave it a thought, considering how to answer his question. She was loss at words when she saw this place. "It is beautiful, calm and peaceful place. I wouldn't mind staying here as long as i can." She briefly answered. Lilia watched as he ran his fingers through the water, a smug smile formed on her face. Lilia reached out and quietly scooped a handful of water. "Boy, you sure look sweaty.. Here, have some water to refresh up." She sweetly said before splashing the unexpected guy with the water. She lightly chuckled before standing up, backing away slightly in case Aaron had any idea on some revenge. Lilia could be very childish at times.

By the time he returned to his office, his mind still pondered on how on earth was Max. Why he had never heard of that guy was beyond him...And how did Keira even know someone like him. He sighed, leaning against the swivel chair. Well, he wasn't going to get his answer by moping in his office. Glancing at the wall clock, he noticed that it was only 3 in the afternoon, still a long way before they were out of work..usually. Seeing that he had barely anything to do for tonight, he decided to get off early and went home for some dinner preparation.

Looking at his refrigerator, he wondered what he should prepare. Even though, he seldom cook unless he needed to but his skill wasn't really that bad. Well, at least he wouldn't let the food burned. He would consider himself as an average cook, following step by step on the recipe. He scrolled through the recipes on his tablet until his eyes set on something feasible. Maybe this will do. Lasagna Rollups and mashed potatoes. We were going Western today!

Watching Lilia splash around in the water having a grand old time made Aaron just about as happy as she was. A small yet bright smile was present on his face as he watched her marvel at the natural beauty. It brought back the memory of when he had first found this place. He had been 8 at the time, and it was the first summer he had been left at home alone while his parents went in to work. With his father being an only child and his mother's two sisters elsewhere (one living across the country and the other traveling the world), there wasn't really anyone they knew who could look after him, so his parents figured he was old enough to stay home.

Kida, who was only a puppy at the time, got loose and ran out of the house, forcing Aaron to chase after her. It had been kind of a long run for an 8-year-old. He finally caught her as she leaped through a bush. They both toppled through and next thing he knew, he found himself plunging into a body of water, the same body of water they were now standing next to. Luckily, he knew how to swim, so it wasn't a problem. It was just a surprise, and when he came up, the first thing he saw was the beautiful sight they were looking at now.

Aaron's attention was brought back to the present by Lilia's voice. Suddenly, he found himself being splashed before he could fully process exactly what she had said. "Hey!" He finished processing a moment later and joined her in the water, attempting to splash her even as she backed away.

It was around 5 or so when Keira finally began to wrap things up for the day. The tests that needed to be processed were in a box ready to be taken down to the lab tomorrow while the ones that were finished her filed and stored away into her filing cabinets. As usual, by the time she was completely done with everything, her office was cleaned up and organized neatly. Coming in to find a messy office first thing in the morning doesn't make her particularly happy, especially because she's not exactly a morning person to begin with.

With everything good to go for tomorrow, she gave a slight nod before turning off the lights and closing the door, locking it behind her. Then she headed down the hall and out to her car. 5:30 was still a bit early for dinner, she supposed, but looking at the roads as she got out, it probably wouldn't be too big a deal. It was right in the height of rush hour, so it would take a little bit to get over to Ciel's place. Hopefully he'd be there by the time she got there because it would be a bit awkward turning up before the host, even though the host was her close friend and lab partner.

A ringtone sounded in her car, and she glanced at the dashboard monitor to see that Max was calling. A small smile appeared on Keira's face as she hit the answer button on her steering wheel. "Hey," she said cheerfully. "Hey, babe." Max's deep, phone-altered voice sounded in the car, loud enough for her to hear over the sound of the traffic and horns outside, but quiet enough so that people outside the car couldn't hear. "Where are you? I was wondering what time you'd be home for dinner." There was a slight pause during which Keira was able to squeeze into a gap between the cars and get ahead by about 20 feet. Then she replied, "I'm out of work and stuck in traffic on Riverside, but I'll still be a little bit because I'm going over to Ciel's for dinner." "Ciel's?" Oh, right. Keira forgot. Last time Ciel had been over, Max was out of town on a business trip, and she'd only mentioned him a couple times before. "He's my lab partner at work, remember? We alternate dinner weeks so we don't have to worry about cooking at least 1 night a week, and this week is his week. He was over at my place last week, but it was while you were at that conference in Madrid." "Oh, right. I remember now. Are you guys going to be real long?" Keira frowned slightly at the question and said, "No longer than usual, I wouldn't think. Why?" "I figured we could maybe go out for dinner and catch a movie, but it sounds like you got tired of waiting and made plans with another guy." Keira could tell easily that he was joking. Still, she said, "Oh come on, you know it's not like that. Besides, I'm all yours tomorrow night, the next night, and the entire weekend. Or, if you can't possibly wait that long, I could see if we could shorten dinner a little so I can come home and we can see what's on Netflix." "All right, that sounds good with me if it's good with you." "All right. See you tonight then. Love you." "I love you too. Bye."

About 20 minutes later, Keira pulled into her friend's driveway. She switched off her car, grabbed her things, and then exited. When she arrived at the front door, she knocked and then waited for Ciel to answer.

ooc| I am soooo sorry for disappearing! My life got kind of busy with being sick, studying for finals, and getting ready for a 12-day trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos at the end of June, which I returned from sick yet again.

I should have let you and everyone else know what was happening, but with all that was going on, I couldn't find time to get on here and tell people that I wouldn't be on for a while.

((I'm back and ready to go although i might have a slight writer block for now.. Too long since we roleplay so i might forget some details here and there.))

Lilia chuckled as she watched Aaron's reaction after he was splashed with a little water. "oh uh." She mumbled when he joined her in the water, having the thoughts of splashing her with water in revenge. Lilia braced herself for the sudden spray of water. To be honest, it was the first time she felt quite happy in someone else's presence and she was really enjoying herself. And the place, it was simply amazing.

"Now i know why you like this place. It is indeed beautiful." She commented in amazement.

***

Ciel had finished preparing all the ingredients needed for cooking up dinner and set to work on cooking. While preheating the oven, he began working on the Lasagna rollups while at the same time, working on the mashed potato. Racing against time, he resolved to finish up cooking as soon as possible. By the time he heard knocks on his front door, the Lasagna was already halfway baked.
"Coming." He shouted, putting the bowl of mashed potato on the table and quickly walked over. He unlocked the door and turned on the doorknob, pulling it to reveal his colleague standing behind the door.

"Hello there.. Quite early for you to be here." He said, holding onto the door. "Come on in." He invited.
"Dinner is almost ready although you need to wait for 10 more minutes."

[[ Sorry for the extremely late reply... I've been busy with college things. :( ]]

Kida was standing on the shore, seeming unsure of what to do with herself as her best friend and their new friend splashed around in the water. Aaron was having a great time, probably one of the best he'd had in a long time. It was hard for him to believe this was actually happening, in fact. It almost felt like a dream to him, and it seemed to be the type he wouldn't ever want to wake up from. He couldn't really recall ever being this happy before. It was a strange feeling.

When she commented on the place's beauty, he nodded in agreement. Somewhere deep down, he knew he made the right choice bringing her here. "It really is." He tossed a sideways glance at her with a small smile on his face. After a pause for a moment longer or so, he finally decided to get out and dry off a little, but just as he began to have a thought, a great spray of water hit him, but it wasn't from Lilia.

Kida had decided to join their fun and jumped in. With a happy bark, she paddled her way over to the two, her tail wagging and creating ripples in the water as she went.

***

It didn't take Ciel quite as long to answer the door as she thought it would, so she wasn't entirely prepared for the door to suddenly fly open. Keira felt her insides jump slightly as she turned, but she kept a pleasant expression on her face and did what she could to just act normal. "Early? Am I? Whoops." She gave him a small smile as she stepped through the door and into his house. Dinner would be another ten minutes yet at least, but that was okay. She wasn't in too much of a hurry and she wasn't that hungry. "Okay, sounds good."

After setting down some of her belongings, she turned toward her friend with a smile. "Is there anything I can help with at all?"

((And now we are even..XD.. Sorry for the late reply as well))

Lilia didn't have this much fun for ages especially since she had been alone all the time. As she grew older, her mum was too busy to meet both ends to entertain her. Even if she had the time, it would mostly use to rest during her day off. Lilia let her mind wandered off a while before returning to the reality. Everything was too good to be true and she was clearly enjoying every second of it. She watched as the dog jumped into the water and braced for the splash that followed.
"Well someone finally decides to join in the fun." She commented, chuckling while jokingly splashing the dog with some water.

She played with Kida for a while before deciding to wade ashore to dry herself. Once she was on land again, she squeezed the water out of her clothes. Once she made sure that her clothes were not dripping with water anymore, she found a spot on the grass to sit on.

"Thanks for showing me this. It is really beautiful." She said, watching as the sky filled with multitude of colours- red, orange purplish pink sky which were the colours of sunset- and the sun was slowly setting for the night. "Looks like it is time to head home. Kind of late right now. " Lilia suggested..

((Well.. we can have our fun on their way back... ))

**********

"Yep.. Sort of. You messed up my timing tho." He joked but deep down, he was kind of glad that she was here early. Ciel let Keira in and shut the door behind of him. "Sorry for the previous bad experience you had in my house but I wasn't myself. Anyway, take a seat." He explained and offered.

Ciel watched as his lab partner set her belonging down and shook his head when she offered to help. "A good host never let his guest to help.." He said in his usual joking manner. "Anyway, i just need to wait for the lasagna to bake so there is nothing left I can think of."

Just as he had finish saying, a clear 'ding' echoed from the kitchen which indicated the timer of the oven just went off. Ciel left Keira in the living room and walked over to the kitchen to finish up for dinner. Wearing the oven mitt, he took out the tray of lasagna and set it aside to let it cool. He took two plates out from the cabinet and began to scoop the mashed potato onto the plates, decorate it with slices of tomatoes and cucumbers, topped with a scoop of salad and lastly place some rolls of lasagna on each plate. He bought those plates over to the dining table before getting the tableware.
"Dinner is served and apology if the food is not up to your taste. You will be my part time guinea pig.."
