Well my hubby and me donated a Elephant Snail each and neither one of us received the eggs or little banner on our profile, is there anyway to correct this??

You have not finalized the quest, that is, visited the last part of the quest in Tetzcotal. You need to do that in order to receive the badge and the Macaws.
