The Sight by David Clement-Davies is one of my faves. Plus, I really love his writing style.

I encourage everyone here to read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susannah Clarke. Basically, imagine if Daniel Defoe was writing urban fantasy novels. It is seriously legit. And the TV adaptation was insanely good, given that they had a budget of precisely sod-all. =]

Ask me about Civilization 5 modding or obscure pre-colonial sub-Saharan African nations! The two intersect more often than you'd think. =]

I recommend reading anything from Branko Copic. He's an amazing kids and teen writer. My favorite book of his is "Eagles fly early".

Some of my favorite stories have been fanfictions.
That isn't to say I haven't read actual books...
I love anything by Sarah Dessen. Much of her books are my most favorite.
I remember this book I read when I was 14, and its one of y favorites, called Raven Quest.
I also like Arthur Conan's SHerlock Holmes...though thats not for everyone.
