Re: Operation Save MagiStream
I'd probably donate more if there were some other things in the doni store - like gender-changing potions or buy the ability to breed for two examples at the top of my head. Something along those lines might perk up some interest. Or maybe an instant incubator - hatches up to 4 eggs for a price.

I'd be more inclined to donate more often if it weren't for the fact that there's other things I like to hatch, too.
I want to roleplay. Particularly, Dragon Age. If you're interested in a semi-lit/adv-lit Dragon Age RP, shoot me a message.

Re: Operation Save MagiStream
I would absolutely pay more for a fifth egg slot. That alone would be worth donating for, definitely.
Also, I wouldn't mind ads if they were stuffed at the bottom of the page. I honestly think ads are the way to go, if we used ones from Google or Amazon (someone reputable!), since they'd bring in revenue. I know the policy has always been 'no ads!!' but I think that's something that has to change. We should have ads if it would help Magistream.
And I say this as someone who hates ads on websites.

What about some kind of quest? One that costed you a certain amount of shards to do it. Just an idea, not very good at suggesting things.

No one really liked that when someone else suggested it. Quests shouldn't be a donor-only experience.Symie wrote:What about some kind of quest? One that costed you a certain amount of shards to do it. Just an idea, not very good at suggesting things.

According to what I heard from Momo a couple months ago, no. She even mentioned that if TJ paid the artists, DC might have higher quality sprites.Cassowary wrote:Does DC pay its artists?
@Shenzi - I kinda get what you're saying. DC has a lot of designs that are attractive... but when you look closer at them, the sprites often have atrocious anatomy, lazy shading etc.

No, I pretty much was trying to say that art is mostly about opinions. I honestly do like the majority of DCs sprites, but there are some that are simply bad, and some that are okay but have their issues. But that goes for MS as well.Niverdia wrote:@Shenzi - I kinda get what you're saying. Perhaps those die hard folks who don't like ads could do this. Donate and no ads for you. Don't donate, well you get ads.
Ah yes also forgot to mention, virtuadopt, another adoptable site based on clicks. They recently switched back to banner ad revenue as neobux to pay for the server wasn't generating enough income. Some keen donators hated the ads so much, they joined together and donated enough to cover the server costs for the next 3 months so they don't have to see ads.

Re: Operation Save MagiStream
Interesting ideas, Pixiequeen. For instance, I would LOVE to see that Incubator come to be and would pay for access! Egg-lock is always a BIG problem when I am trying to fill Doni orders in my Shop and paying extra to hatch the critters in a hurry would be worth the price.pixiequeen wrote:I'd probably donate more if there were some other things in the doni store - like gender-changing potions or buy the ability to breed for two examples at the top of my head. (Yes, I will get back to selling Donis...after tax season. )
The fifth egg slot--for a price-- would be useful. Another good suggestion, IMHO.MorningtonCrescent wrote:I would absolutely pay more for a fifth egg slot. That alone would be worth donating for, definitely.
Happy Magiversary 15!
