Love the idea but i have a question. What about if you're auctioning off an egg?

It should work the same way as with live creatures. Unless of course your egg is unfrozen, in that case I think you need to send it when it hatches.

Not sure if sarcasm BUT: the Auction House subsection in the Merchant District rules says this.

The description of a creature must either include a link to the creature in question, or the following information:
- species
- gender
- generation
- whether it is named or not


So, in short, yes. If you put a link the description is not required.
