I remember the horrible 'SQUEEbongSQUEEbong' dial-up noise.... Captain Marvel was very much a 90s nostalgia trip for me

In the internet vein, back in my day, you couldn't use the phone and the internet at the same time. That is, unless you were lucky enough to buy a separate line.

Honestly, I was hesitant to join the conversation because I was born in 1989 and honestly? Half the things that go on today, didn't happen when I was growing up. Kids actually listened to their parents. They actually went out, did chores, go summer jobs, etc. And they didn't do even half the complaining they seem to do today. I'm not saying growing up back then was the best time, but honestly? It makes me miss growing up and taking those days and making them last just a wee bit longer. Not rushing through them like I used too.

At work, I used to have to use one of those casset tape adapters, plugged into a portable CD player at one end and the casset part in a boom box, plus the CDs I had to burn. So I needed like five separate things (eight if you count all the parts of the computer) just to play my own music during my shifts. And now we only need one device

"Back in my day, I used to own bucket loads of old 2000's littlest pet shop toys. Now that I think of it, I'm sure me and your grandma still have them in the attic..."

Back in my day- before the golden age of Spotify, we had few options for music or ways to listen to it- we had to do something called "burn tracks" lol! I'm still pretty young but my Mom was pretty behind technologically until I was an older kid/teen so we burned CDs from 2001-2011 pretty much ^_^ oops I didnt see the person above saying burn CDs, well another thing we did was use software like limewire and other smaller sites like cdtomp3hq to take the raw file and convert that to mp3 tracks so I could listen on my first Ipod!! That was also very fun :D

Back in my day, the phone was attached to the kitchen wall via a base and a curly wire.

Bonus: back in my day, you had to go to channel 3 to play video games.

God with inflation here.. D:
I could definitely imagine complaining like
"back in my day a theater ticket was only $7!!!!"
just like how my parents are always like "when i was your age i could get a burger for $0.50!!"
can easily imagine it becoming $20-$30 for one ticket (food and stuff not included) within the next 20 years :t-weep: :t-boo:
