I looked at my tears today
I was crying
I always do
when the noon sun shines through
black and cold
but clear and light
I wonder now at my fate

Noon

The rich yolk ripens in the sky then,
while clouds meander on.
When unlawful balls breach the pavement boundary,
and play tricks upon the lawn.

And then, bird song - talk and chatter,
A bike rolls by and footfalls clatter.

When the yolk flies away,
The clouds ghost on, the balls bounce back,
The birds cease song,
The bike rides off and the footfalls fall-

The sky dons it's rare, embroidered, hued mantle,
And it's white button catches the light.

a thief in the night
stealing way
he stole a young girls heart
then gave her his

they played
they fought
they kissed
they loved

and then he was caught
she wept a thousand days
and cried in lonesome ally ways

she stole
she hurt
she killed
she trained

then one night she broke him out,
she killed the guards
she ripped out their hearts
and then she left
him in tow

she hated them
so she destroyed them all
and now they're gone
but so is she
and so is he

Wept

The sky wept,
and for all it's misery,
I danced.

The sky cried,
and for all its tears,
I smiled.

Every drop a gift from above,
made to cool the earth below,
And with me the grass rose towards the sky,
the leaves turned up as if they could fly,
and together we took in the tears of the sky!

Together so we wouldn't die,
for without the tears, without the rain,
our life would end, we would not be the same,
instead we would fall, like the rain.

Fall to the ground in endless pain,
without the tears, without the rain,
we would not live, we would not breath,
it would only be pain.

So with the rain,
I live, I dance,
I am alive because of the rain.

one last time
she stared in disbelief at the arrow in her chest
one last time
she wanted to ask him why
she wanted to ask him how he had missed
she wanted to ask what she had done to deserve this
he stared in horror at what he'd done
he had hit his beloved
she crumpled to the floor and so did he
one die of injury and the other of grief

through the night she stole
through the shadows she crept
into and out of darkened alleyways she ran
then she left the city gate far behind
and gazed into the open sky

Night

The darkness creeps across across the land,
Stars shining from above,
An entire world is trapped in night's glove,
A curtain of shadows draped over all.
But yet, the sky seems to glow,
Protected by the moon for all life to grow.
And as the sun rises again, the world is bright once more.
