Taggelisk questline

Does anyone know if all the pets for the taggelisk questline need to be hatchlings or if only the Kaetus needs to be a hatchling?

It doesn't say adult or hatchling next to any of them other than the Kaetus which it says hatchling for

I looked up the quest text - You need the Nimbii to provide shade and another creature to fly on (Roc or Pegasus or Puvia). That requires them to be adults.

The Kaetus needs to be carried with you so you can use its power to purify water for drinking. It's easier to bring with you when it's a hatchie.
