Oh! Since you guys are currently discussing healers, would it be alright to sneak Ember in? I imagine that they can heal minor injuries and would be able to determine how indeed the egg is or isn't.

Shaking in my boots - I've finally managed to get my hands on a house muris pair(field muris when,,,,) and can start breeding them to a) give to other players and b) hoard them.
Perhaps I should start breeding my cats for the same purpose.

Maybe, since we're all new magi, we could pick up after orientation? Like, we've just been shown around the Keep and are now able to wander more-or-less freely? //
